Maple Street and Marie T. Matteson MS LMP have joined forces to give you a great gift idea, and an opportunity to help the families of the fallen officers of the Lakewood Police Department.
Since she has been involved with EMS for nearly 20 years, she thought it only fitting to give to the police guild [...]
It’s that time of year again, when the entire town is S.O.L. on canned pumpkin. #bhampumpkinhunt to the rescue!
You see the entertainment value here, right? Two media heavyweights in a PR pirouette, while Bud and Dan have a contest to show how much water they can drink? I know, of all the priorities for our region to focus our energy and resources… but we live in the City of Subdued Excitement.
On Monday, August 31, 2009, at 8:30 in the morning, the first (and perhaps only) Brett Allsop Memorial Bagel Toast Happened. Here’s the run-down of all of the memorial services and gatherings taking place for our friends lost at sea. If anyone would like to speak, participate, assist or has any ideas for the Memorial, please contact Gwen Garrett at 599-2431 or 393-2561.
Friday, July 17th was one of those magic nights where Art and Commerce came together to a common purpose: to aid the families of Gunther Jose Frank and Sean “Donnkie” Mansfield. A month prior, their boat capsized and they have never been seen since. Many of us attended the first night of the memorial weekend benefit at Boundary Bay, half-expecting the two to traipse in from the waterfront and tell us the joke was on us.
